You may not know this about me, but I love children's books. I've collected at least 100 over the years. I adore a good story and beautiful illustrations.

Makes sense I start writing about them, right? Part of my #YearOfJoy is to write more about things that bring me joy. 

My dream

Like many creative people, I dream in color and very vividly. Last night, Prince (the performer, not my dog) was in my dream. He was wearing a plain white button-down shirt and dark jeans. No stiletto boots, only a men's wedged loafer. We talked a bit before he went on stage to perform. I asked him why he was wearing something so conservative. He said now that he's free, he can wear whatever he wants. By the time he took the stage, I was in the front row. He reached down smiled at me, grabbed both of my hands and held them. He kept smiling and the crowd went nuts.

Then I woke up.
